MYOPIA
When distant objects become blurry.
Myopia causes distant objects to appear blurry while close objects remain clear. It occurs when the eye focuses light in front of the retina. Common corrections include glasses, contact lenses, or laser surgery.
HYPEROPIA
When nearby objects appear blurry.
Hyperopia makes nearby objects appear blurry, while distant objects are clearer. It happens when the eye focuses light behind the retina. Glasses, contact lenses, or surgery can help correct this condition.
ASTIGMATISM
Visual distortion with both near and far objects.
Astigmatism distorts vision at all distances due to an irregularly shaped cornea or lens. This can cause blurred or stretched images. It is commonly corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery.
CATARACT
A clouding of your eyes natural lens.
A cataract is the clouding of the eye’s natural lens, leading to blurry or dim vision. It typically develops with age but can also result from injury or other conditions. Cataract surgery is a highly effective treatment.
